On Tuesday 17th October 2023 Crown Workspace was part of #CEweek2023.
This is a week of inspiration and knowledge sharing across London arranged by ReLondon, who have partnered with the Mayor of London. Their mission is to make London a global leader in sustainable ways to live, work and prosper.
As part of the Circular Economy Week, we opened our doors to show case how we contribute to the circular economy and the work carried out in our Renew Centre. We invited visitors from:
CBRE, Isg, Canary Wharf, Surrey County Council, BITC and many more.
Our visitors joined us for a tour around our Renew Centre and offices, where they were able to share our experiences and knowledge on sustainability in the workplace and where they could see the circular economy in action.
Ann Beavis, Head of Sustainability introduced Crown Circulate, a process of how we work to ensure we put the circular economy at the heart of what we do. This process enables assets to circulate throughout and beyond the workplace, benefitting your organisation, society and the planet.
During the tour, our team of experts were able to advise on the best way to buy and sell refurbished items with confidence and the benefits.
Our visitors met with Liv Sheridan, Sustainability Coordinator, who explained the Giving Back Project, which we run as part of our sustainable clearance service, making it easy for our clients to donate unwanted office furniture and equipment. They learnt how the team then take the unwanted furniture, IT and electrical equipment, and liaise with over 100 charity partners to ensure they reach those in need.
The tour was a great success with some good feedback which has encouraged us to share our knowledge with further tours.
