Discarded fishing nets are used to make some of the plastic components of this chair as Humanscale builds on its sustainability goals. It is also one of their Net Positive products which means its production gives back to the environment in terms of CO2, energy and water. The back is made from form-sensing mesh that adapts to whoever is using the chair and provides them with lumbar support without the need for complex dials and levers. The intelligent counter-balance recline mechanism automatically provides the right amount of support through the full range of recline motion, regardless of user size and weight.
